The primary purpose for this program is to offer a new beginning to people who are homeless or have an addiction problem. We will seek to address the total person (physically, mentally, socially, spiritually, and financially). The program will provide help with housing, clothing, tutoring, GED preparation, applying for Government benefits and acquiring medical, drug, and alcohol treatment as needed.
This program will also provide house day care and after school program for the working parent emphasis will be placed on parenting skills, along with the provision ( by the center) of family oriented activities. The program will provide proper attire to clients for job interview. At the time a job is acquired transportation will be provided for one week free of charge after wards there is a $10.00 fee per week for transportation. Big Mama’s House of Love, Inc. will be a drug and alcohol free environment.
If any problems should occur, the individual will be reviewed by the board and decisions will be determined according to the situation.
The goal of Big Mama’s House of Love, Inc. is to have individuals become self-sufficient within 6 months.
The Board is currently working on putting together a Capability Statement. We will be seeking government grants and this is a necessary document to obtain funding. We plan on completing this document by the end of the 1st quarter.
